Dr. Patricia Villalta
As a mother herself, Dr. Villalta understands how important it is to know that your child is in caring hands. She combines her mother’s touch with her research experience, academic background, and clinical skills to deliver the best possible care to her patients.
After completing her Master’s Degree in Pediatric Dentistry at the prestigious University of Sao Paulo – Brazil in 2001, Dr. Villalta moved to the United States where she taught, lectures and performed research at Tufts University in Boston MA and Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fl at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Biomaterials Research Center. In 2009, Dr. Villalta earned her Doctorate Degree in Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University. Two years later she completed 2 years of residency in Pediatric Dentistry where she provided treatment for patients at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and at several NSU pediatric dental clinics.
Dr. Villalta is the author of several articles published in dental journals and has lectured nationally and internationally at dental conventions. She regularly attends conferences and seminars focused on the relationship of orofacial myofunctional disorders and tethered oral tissue (TOTs).
Dr. Villalta is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
